On tap at Tippler’s Tap. A big ballsy Belgian strong ale with a mouth numbing alcohol content that sends an alcohol burn down your throat - in a good way. Packed full of spiced fruit aromas and flavours. This s a beer that needs to be sipped and appreciated. Light amber colour with a sticky residue of ace left on the glass. The Italians certainly know their beer.

Colore ambrato. Schiuma bianca, compatta, persistente.

Bottle shared by Ryan. Pours hazy orange to amber with a medium, frothy white head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is floral and herbal hops, earthy notes, cookie and biscuit malt, perfume and spices with fruity esters. Flavor is fruity and barnyard notes, light malt, light hops and bitterness, and a dry finish. Medium body, warmth, and carbonation.

hazy gold, frothy white head with ample lacing. Nose is dry hay, light tea, bit of sweet earth. Sweet red grape and clay, hay mid with nice caramelized brown sugar finish. Dry end despite sweetness, rich, layered.

Pours dark amber with a lasting head. Nose shows brown sugar, confectionery, a gooseberry lambic note, horseblanket and lemon. Unorthodox and probably not intended but nice. Some of the funky notes transfer through as flavours but it’s more about the malt; very sweet with big confectionery sugar-like notes. Some booze but reasonably well-integrated. A bit too sweet. Could use a fair bit more carbonation.

33cl bottle, shared by ryan: pours a hazy dark golden with a stringy-lacing white head. Has a sweet biscuity light malty sweetness with some light fruity esters. Starts with pretty good fullness and rich pale malty sweetness with some licorice and clove spice before a slightly warming bready finish. Well-balanced and fairly complex.
