COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Wonderful dark/sweet aroma followed by coffee and toasted flavors. Nice warm alcoholic feeling. Truly a great beer.

330 ml bottle from beer-shop.it served in a snifter. Pours a dark brown colour with a small beige head which dissipated quickly, leaving a nice ring of foam. Aroma of brown sugar, dark fruits (raisins, plumbs, figs, dates), caramel malts and toffee, some light spices like star anise and cinnamon, and a bit of booze. It has some vinous qualities, very fruity and slightly earthy. One small sip is more than enough to fall in love. So luscious and velvety smooth, pretty sweet but not cloying at all. Quite different compared to the great trappist quads, especially considering how soft and gentle is the carbonation. Almost full bodied, oily texture. The alchool is extremely well hidden, even at room temperature. Extraomnes keeps getting better and better!

Bottle @ dieci. Schiuma beige fine e persistente. Birra marrone scuro con riflessi rubino. Aroma fruttato, frutta rossa(prugna).

This beer pours a dark reddish-brown color with a medium foamy tan head that dissipates gradually. Small patches of lacing. Aroma of malt and dark fruit. Medium to full body with flavors of roasted malt, earthy yeast and raisins. The finish is slightly syrupy and fruity with a malt aftertaste. Above average overall.

Bottled 330ml from Italy. Dark ruby color, mostly vanishing head. Plums and candy sugar in the nose. Medium to full-bodied. Sweet, candy sugary, plums and raisins, some alcohol, especially in the aftertaste. Unfortunately also some vegetably notes, perhaps from yeast. Decent abt with aging potential.

Tasting at Bruce’s pad. Very hazy brown beer with a tidy pale tan head. Light palate, slightly soft and with modest fine carbonation. Light lactose and caramel. Mellow ripe fruits. Smooth finish. Not bad.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours hazy deep amber with a thick yellow-white head. The nose is wood, earth, vanilla, dark fruits, toffee, honeycomb and candyfloss. The taste is wood, toffee, candy, sweet dark fruit, berry, light alcohol and honeycomb. Medium+ body and fine carbonation. Perhaps a touch sweet, but a decent quad anyhow.

Bottle cheers to Leighton. Dirty brown pour with a small khaki head which lasts leaving ok lacing. Nose is full of stewed dark fruit - raisin, sultana. Very sticky caramelised focus to it and some sweet toffee biscuit. Taste almost resembles melted caramel with leafy hops, light spice, egg white and butterscotch. Ok

Bottle shared at Bruce’s in London - this one I got in Rome. Pours mostly clear amber-brown with a frothy tan head. The nose has ripe fruits, apples, light toffee. Medium to big sweet flavor with more ripe fruits, stewed apples, berries, liquid sugars, toffee. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with bread, toffee, ripe fruits, caramel, light orange. Good stuff, interesting character. Very drinkable.
