Courtesy Slayer85. 33cl bottle. Lot 123 11. Best by November 2012. Pours very cloudy and dusky, with a brownish-orange amber color. A huge, billowing head of off-white froth seems ever lasting. Hard, striated, splotchy walls of lacing coat the glass well. The nose is quite nice, showing a dusty, soft, estery saison yeast profile, with underlying notes of pears, clean cereal, and bread dough. The flavor backs up the aroma, hinting at lightly sweet grain, mild orchard fruit, peppery wildflowers, and other light spices. I wish the palate would sacrifice a bit of its heft in favor of some dryness, but the carbonation is spot on, and it finishes nicely. Overall, it’s a solid saison. Further attenuation would have yielded a really nice product. As it stands, it’s pretty solid.

On tap at Moeder Lambic. Gold amber body with nice head. Nose is toffee, fruits and grass notes. Taste is also really fruity with maltier flavours too, as well as some hops. Nice bitter and hoppy in the finish.

Draught Huge, very fine & dense yellowish head over hazy yellow beer, textbook lace. Fresh, herbal - if a tad agressive - hops, quite some ureum, pale malts. Short sweetness followed by a very herbal-weedy hopflavour. Again agressive, if short of astringency. Even if the agressive MF dwindles after a bit of settling, it still is not clean enough. Light to medium bodied, quite slick. Schigi, go drink a Dupont Légère, add some ironoxide, and try again.

Draft @ Moeder Lambic Italian Beer Festival ’12. Dorée/orangée brumeuse, col épais et crémeux blanc. Arôme, on note ici un profile nettement plus belge, surtout en comparaison à la Tainted Love. Un beau bouquet fruité et d’agrumes citronné. En bouche, profile épais grains dans le style saison, le tout est accompagné d’un savoureux profile houblonné et citronné avec un côté levure bien présent.

Otra interesante cerveza del panorama artesanal italiano que tiene el inconveniente de sus precios aunque al menos no el de la calidad. Al abrirla huele a campo (lúpulos) y a levadura. Los olores a levadura son, aunque no seamos expertos en el estilo, algo característico de las saison. Tiene aspecto algo turbio, la espuma aguanta un huevo y parte del otro y al beberla notamos que la burbuja es algo “picante”. Sin duda refrescante y curiosa, deja retrogusto amargo y al final deja recuerdo a cerveza de trigo sin serlo, tal vez por el papel del centeno. Parece una weizenbock o algo así pero no lo es. Otro buen ejemplo del buen trabajo italiano.

Forse sembrero esagerato ma a me è piaciuta tantissimo. Che dire, BUONISSIMA! Grande Schigione!!!

Bottle courtesy of Larsniclas shared at tasting. Pours reddish golden with a frothy white head that slowly dissipates while clinging to the glass and leaving some trace. Smell is sweet and tiny stale with caramel, freshly cut grass, bread, lemon zest, mandarin oranges and hints of dusty barnyard. Taste is sweet and fruity with plums, lemon zest, lemon juice, bread and orange juice. Mouthfeel is tiny tart, tiny sour and light to medium bodied. Finish is tiny sweet, tiny bitter and tiny dry with green grapes and yeasty bread.

(Bottle) Pours hazy golden with a white head. The aroma holds grass, herbs, weed, wild flowers, dough, bread, crackers, light phenols, fresh vegetables and light dust. The flavour is light sweet, light bitter and light acidic with notes of grass, bread, phenols, crackers and dust. The mouthfeel soft and bit peppery with light carbonation. Light citric, grassy, cracker-like and light phenolic. Light to medium bodied.

Bottle 33 cl, GIL. Pours clody golden with sediment prticles snd a nice white creamy head leaving lace. Aroma is fruity veggies soapy malty and soicy. Flavor is odd fruity sourish acidy malty bitter and spicy with yeasty notes. Finishes bitter fruity.
