3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20

Bottle, 33cL. Home. A brown yellow earthy beer with a big creamy off-white head ; good retention and great lacing. Fruity aroma (citrus), biscuit, spices, light caramel, alcohol. Medium to heavy dry bitter, warming note, light sweet. Good body, silky texture, good carbonation, dry bitter warming finish. Overall, a good "belgian" abbey triple ; silky, dry, good balance.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2014 Medium white thick and creamy head, deep golden dark orange hazy colour. Very particular fruity, spiced, melon, orange, peach, apple, pepper, earthy aroma, slighlty smokey. Taste followes very much the smell, fruity, spiced, with nice amount of sweetness. Full bodied, low/medium carbonation, creamy/oily texture, slighlty dry finish. This beer absolutely hides the alcohol and 9,5 %vol. Probably one of the real best Italian Saisons/Strong Belgians. Nice!!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
330 ml bottle from BG Birra, served in a Teku glass. Slow gusher. Deep sunrse orange, pretty hazy and murky looking (with tons of little particles), and an average, creamy and persistent white head. Good lacing. Mesmerizing aroma: light funk (diapers) on the nose, a hint of alchool, fruit esters, light yeast, slightly toasted malts, quite fruity overall. Less dry and more sirupy compared to others Extraomnes saisons, slightly more sweet than bitter. Citrusy, and slightly herbal aftertaste. Pleasent warming sensation down the throath, but it’s ridicolous how easily drinkable it is, dangerous 9.5% beer! Good zingyness helping to clean the palate. Average to lively carbonation, medium body, slightly creamy texture. Another winner from one of my favourite Italian brewery.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
330ml bottle. Dark orange colour and forms a big, dense white head. Aromas is floral, some hay/grass, slightly earthy, citrusy orange notes, sweet caramel. Taste is yeasty and fruity esters, wheaty banana and slightly spicy with a citrusy freshness in the finish. Nice bitter finish. Big and airy carbonation, mouthfeel is soft and rich. Very loyal to its Belgian roots, not bad at all.
