In bocca è corposa e calida.

Tanta schiuma, colore d’ oro velato.

Tasted from bottle into a rocks glass at the Royale gathering, thanks Will! A little-known Italian beer described as being similar to the De Dolle Belgian yeast strain. Translation = delicious. It poured a cloudy golden color with lasting white foam, nice lace. Aromas and flavors of freshly-cut grass, husky grains, some marshmallowy pils malt, rising dough, freshly-baked French bread, slight flowery/spicy hops (Saaz?), and subdued but complex Belgian yeast characteristics: vanilla, black pepper, bubble gum, clove, compost, over-ripe apricots, herbal tea tannins. 9.5% alcohol but very well-hidden. Light-medium body, strong carbonation, simultaneously smooth and grainy mouthfeel, some nice mineral water hardness. Long-lasting, multi-layered aftertaste. Unpretentious yet amazingly good.

Golden hazy color with white head. Honey and spicy aroma. Medium bodied with malt and honey flavour, also spicy and fruity.

330 ml bottle from BG Birra, served in a Teku glass. Slow gusher. Deep sunrse orange, pretty hazy and murky looking (with tons of little particles), and an average, creamy and persistent white head. Good lacing. Mesmerizing aroma: light funk (diapers) on the nose, a hint of alchool, fruit esters, light yeast, slightly toasted malts, quite fruity overall. Less dry and more sirupy compared to others Extraomnes saisons, slightly more sweet than bitter. Citrusy, and slightly herbal aftertaste. Pleasent warming sensation down the throath, but it’s ridicolous how easily drinkable it is, dangerous 9.5% beer! Good zingyness helping to clean the palate. Average to lively carbonation, medium body, slightly creamy texture. Another winner from one of my favourite Italian brewery.

Bottle at the Drunken Duck; pours a hazy gold with a white head; sweet aroma of fruits, yeast, spice, and hints of hops; taste is bittersweet yeast and citrus fruit balancing the hops and spices; has a dry finish; alcohol is nicely hidden; very nice beer.
