3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
1987 bottle shared at the Kulminator. It pours red-amber with a minimal white bubbly head. The nose is boiled sweets, sweet raspberry, tanginess and fruit gums. The taste is tangy berry, sweet-sour aspect, light tartness, jam, sherbet and chalk with a dry, faintly chalky finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Not a whole lot going on....but smooth, tangy and pretty drinkable.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
1987 bottle @ Kulminator. The pour’s deep ruddy red with a small head. The nose is rich rustic raspberry. Loads of sweet raspberry jam and just a hints of tartness. The taste is very simple raspberry candies. Time seems to have smoothed out some of the sweetness. What remains is just a really mellow, pleasant raspberry beer. Light body, smooth. Worth a try.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 14/20
UPDATED: APR 12, 2013 26/III/13 - 37.5cl bottle from Kulminator (Antwerpen) @ home - BB: not indicated, but must have been an early 80ies vintage (2013-272)
Clear ruby red beer, no head. Aroma: sweet and fruity, raspberry yoghurt, cardboard, dusty, bit moldy, sourish. MF: no carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sweet, sugary, candy, bit cheesy, cardboard. Aftertaste: sweet: strawberry / raspberry candy, little lemony. Meh.
Note: the rating below was from another Eylenbosch Framboise, but with the same alcohol. Pretty sure it used to be the same beer, and if not, there’s no where else to put the rating, so there you go. This one was probably not properly stored, because the Kulminator version was waaay better.
3/II/13 - 37.5cl bottle as "Gueuze Framboisée des Ardennes" @ Vintage Tasting during Brugs Bierfestival 2013 - BB: n/a - +- 1990 vintage (2013-133)
Clear amber to deep orange beer, small off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: lots of mold cork, basement, pretty bad. MF: no carbon, medium to light body. Taste: fruity touch, sourish, bit woody. Aftertaste: woody, vinegar sourness, lemony, mold cork. Will have to retry with the bottle of Eylenbosch Framboise I have at home.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
1980 Vintage bottle in Brugge, Belgium. An amber/red coloured pour with virtually no head on top. Stale, sour, vaguely fruity aroma. Tastes similar, sour, fruity, cardboard like, slightly boozy. Well past its best but it is 33 years old. Interesting nevertheless.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear amber colour, no head. Aroma of caramel, funk, hors blanket, attick, wood. Ligh sour flavour, light sweet touch. Some prominent funk. Very delicate. Finish light sour, light sweet, hint of cork.
Nice to taste this one. The raspberry isn’t noticeable anymore though.

0,375 bottle fr 1986. golden with a tint of pink. no foam or head formation. aroma is berries with some woody, oaky notes. taste is sweet with loads of berries after a rather unpleasant astringency. more like a very fruity port or white. rather thin body also.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
1986 bottle, shared with Bergen Beer Geek Tasting Crew on Christmas Tasting 2012. Got this by a series of accident and decided it would be a great Christmas gift from me to the merry gang in BBGTC. Also, this is my first vintage lambic so expectations are...well, I don’t know what they are but I’m definitely excited! :-) Pours a clear amber body with no head whatsoever. Oh well, I guess 26 years tend to let out most CO2. Aroma is surprisingly clear, with incredibly sweet raspberry tones, port wine, nuts, caramel and hints of brett and dark plum-like fruity notes in the back. Amazing how the fruit character has stayed strong like this, but I was kind of expecting more sourness to it. Medium body (also: surprisingly thick!), no carbonation. Almost like fruit wine, and probably a bit past its heydays but still mightily impressive. Totally worth it! :-)

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark red pour, very small head. Nice dusty raspberry aroma with some yeast and old woody funk. Flavor is sweet and funky raspberry and some yeast.
