(2/29/08) On tap at In de Verzekering tegen de Grote Dorst during De Nacht van de Grote Dorst in Eizeringen. 1994 vintage. Red beer with a pinkish head. Big cherry aroma despite of age with wood and brett. Very fresh sour flavor with cherries. Medium-bodied. Great.

A Mes rate: Early 80’s bottle during the Night of the Great Thirst.
Brownish red and loosing some of the pinkish hue due to its age. A little musty in the aroma but the flavour has held up a little better. Still a little sweetness left but the fruit is definitely on its way out. Nice tang an sourness at the finish. Tasty and enjoyable. A rare treat that is all but gone.

1989 vintage, draught at Akkurat. Deep ruby red. Sweet cherries, pits and some funk. Smells and tastes of cherry-jam. Quite rich and sweet, but never cloying. Sour. Amazing.

(Draught at Akkurat, 1989-vintage) Pours hazy, deep blood-ish red. Big cherry aroma with some sweet candy and caramel tones. Some apple-ish sourness. Also hints of Swedish mandelkubb. The flavour has some sweetness in the beginning with some sticky hints but the most notable is a heavy sour, acid, tart and dry mouthfeel. A lot of cherries in the flavour as well. Lingering aftertaste. Medium bodied. Near fantastic.

Miksu (3887) - Jyväskylä, FINLAND - SEP 24, 2007
Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. 1989 vintage. Red color with white creamy head. Pleasantly acidic and cherryish aroma with notes of almonds and raspberry. Strong cherry flavor with refreshing acidity and some sweetness. Notes of minerals, wood and lemon with a little wild yeast character. Not highly complex but very pleasant and perfectly balanced.
