Draught at Akkurat. Vintage 1989. Brownish dark red coloured. Very fruity for its age. Loads of cherries in the aroma and in the flavour. Very fresh, sour and acidic. Excellent.

(Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm 29 April) – Vintage 89 - Red-brown unclear body, huge fast away head leaving beautiful laces; The nose is huge, not as clear as the Framboisen, but super complex, deep and very hard to distinguish: of cause lot of kriek, but in very sweet way (like preserved or candy like cherries), at the same time the nose is super fresh with notes I cant distinguish; Super balanced body with very little sourness, it is like the small about of carbonation (or maybe acidity) makes it a bit extra fresh; lots of sourness steps out in a very, very long finish with a superb balance. This beer has so much character and it is amazing. It seems like the Framboisen has taken the aging a little bit better.

1989 version sampled draught at Akkurat, Stockholm.
Brownish red. Balsamic black cherry aroma. Fresh cherryish fruit sweetness balanced by tart acidity. Still so fresh after years! Wonderfully balanced citric acid finish. Perhaps not very complex, but extremely tasty and intense.

Draught at Akkurat, Stockholm. 1989 vintage. Red color with white creamy head. Pleasantly acidic and cherryish aroma with notes of almonds and raspberry. Strong cherry flavor with refreshing acidity and some sweetness. Notes of minerals, wood and lemon with a little wild yeast character. Not highly complex but very pleasant and perfectly balanced.

Bottled, 1989 vintage (thanks joergen for sharing!). Murky brownish red colour, small off-white head. Just wonderful aroma of sweet cherries. Totally filled the nose cavities (and my head!). Flavour is cherries and dry dark fruits. Lovely thing, considering it’s age!

1989 vintage, draught at Akkurat. Deep ruby red. Sweet cherries, pits and some funk. Smells and tastes of cherry-jam. Quite rich and sweet, but never cloying. Sour. Amazing.

Marsiblursi (2371) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - OCT 5, 2007
(Draught at Akkurat, 1989-vintage) Pours hazy, deep blood-ish red. Big cherry aroma with some sweet candy and caramel tones. Some apple-ish sourness. Also hints of Swedish mandelkubb. The flavour has some sweetness in the beginning with some sticky hints but the most notable is a heavy sour, acid, tart and dry mouthfeel. A lot of cherries in the flavour as well. Lingering aftertaste. Medium bodied. Near fantastic.

Kriek Lambic Cuvée Spéciale - bottle 37.5 cl - cuvée of 1980 (estimated) - expiry date = July 1990. Eye: Amber, light orange - thin head, dissolving quickly Nose: very gentle kriek nose left, some kirsch, hint of madeira and a little wood Mouth: fresh sweet start, Rumtopf impressions in the middle (Rumtopf = cherries on strong alcohol), little aftertaste. Conclusion: I bought a stack of about 50 bottles of Eylenbosch and old Belle-Vue, all kept in a cellar for 30 years. It is incresible how well these beers stay drinkable. Wow!
