larsniclas (2795), Gothenburg, Sweden Nov 18, 2007 Draught at the brewpub.
Almost black with a small, off-white head.
A lot of diacetyl and vanilla in the aroma.
Very sweet flavour with vanilla and toffee and some spicy notes from clove. Too sweet. rlgk (3018), Motala, Sweden Nov 14, 2007 Draught at the brewpub. Black/brown color, small offwhite head. Malty toffee aroma, diacetyl, vanilla. Roasted malt flavor, spicy, toffee notes, some fruits. yespr (6400), Copenhagen O, Denmark Nov 11, 2007 From tap at the brewpub (Vesterbro). Pours deep brown to black with a dense and light brown head. Vague aroma, slight malty and a whiff of acidity. Flavour holds a mild butterish note to a dark roasted malt flavour. Very mild finish, non-offensive but not thrilling either. Ends mild malty and with a subdued note of chocolate, medium dry. Certainly lacks some spices to be thrilling, the base is okay and suites the christmas dishes well. duff (5405), Sydney, Australia, Surrey, England Feb 16, 2007 Tap@Vesterbro. Quite sweet and thin. Thins grainy malt sweetness, some caramel notes. Sugary sweet notes. NOt very good. madsberg (4367), Bangalore, India Dec 9, 2006 Draught @ Vesterbro Bryghus. Dark amber coloured. Unclear. Beige dense head. Light spice, sugar and light caramel in the nose. Flavour is sweet and sugary as well. Has light herbal and caramel notes. Thin bodied and watery. Very sugary in the end. Nothing to run for like all Vesterbro/Færgekro beers. But should you find yourself there, this is the one to drink.
