Quack-Duck (1825), Bodensee, Germany Jul 10, 2008 bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear golden yellow, medium-sized head, some tiny floaties. Fruity nose. Hoppy and fruity, medium-bodied with a touch of warming alcohol.
pivnizub (3871), Porúří, Germany Jul 19, 2008 Bügelverschlußflasche (donated by Stephane): Golden, almost no head to speak of; sweet-fruity (raisins) and slightly Tettnang-hoppy nose; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour; a tinge of alcohol in the sweet and - again - Tettnang-hoppy finish. A good, well balanced Bock........... MoritzF (3883), Ruhrpott, Germany Jul 14, 2008 (33cl swing top bottle) Clear, golden colour with a short cream-coloured foamy head. Sweet cara-malty and biscuity aroma with a touch of oak-wood honey and traces of alcohol. Sweet-bitter flavour; full bodied with a calm carbonation. Slightly biscuity malty and minimal honey-ish taste with shy notes of alcohol. Sweet and also quite bitter finish with a tinge of alcohol shining through. Decent, not too sweet pale Bock (14.07.08).
