kappldav123 (1063), Markkleeberg, Germany Jul 14, 2008 The bottle looks really good. The color reminds me of Schöfferhofer. The beer in the glass is fine turbid, very much foam. Aroma a bit chemical, little notes of nuts. Tastes yeasty and dry. Finish is dry and hard. Not very drinkable. Not a good hefeweizen! Rastacouere (5328), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 30, 2007 Flawless looks, a champaigny cloudy golden shade with the tightest, thick, lasting 2 inches high white foam. Very bready nose, almost doughy, perhaps too much so. It is a sweetish weizen globally, though the yeast shows up with strong banana esters, almost in a purée form. Perhaps a bit less lively than expected from the appearance, the carbonation is actually quite smooth, putting further the purée feel. Fresh wheat feel, but without the acidity. A delicated, well malted, round example. Ungstrup (11338), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 25, 2007 Bottled. An unclear golden beer with a thin white head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of citrus. The flaovr is acidic wheaty combined with notes of nuts and sweet notes, like grass rotting in the summer sun. Thomas_E (5065), Copenhagen, Denmark May 1, 2007 Cloudy golden colour with a white head. Malty, sweet fruity aroma and flavor with a light dry and vague spicy finish. Papsoe (10239), Frederiksberg, Denmark Apr 29, 2007 (Bottle 50 cl) Courtesy of MoritzF. Hazy golden with an off-white head. Discreet, fuity somewhat bonbon-ish aroma. Medium body, quite dry, malty and then again these candy-like fruit accents. Very atypical Weizen. 230407
