Aroma Slight sourness with touch of funk , slight fruity feel , fresh vegetable with base of malt.
Appearance bright haze on copper amber. Good medium white crown. 4-
Flavor and Palate : medium light bodied. Low carbonation. Spice , vegetable-fruity combination followed. Hint of clove and nutmeg. Amber malt below.

Cask - Volo Cask Days 2010, Day 1. 25 IBUs. Near-murky ruby pour with a lasting frothy off-white head. Sweet aroma, apple skins, alcohol and wildflowers. Taste is not too sweet, very floral, yeast, not much alcohol - or character. Average body, decent carbonation with a hint of astringency in the quick finish.

Cask at ’Volo Cask Days 2010’ . Pours a great looking red with a small bubbly white head. Nice malty aroma along with some fruit, a light vegetal note and some light spices. Flavour of caramel malt, fruit, some spices and a light bitter finish. Average bodied. Pretty good.

Tap at Volo (in cask). Great beer, it works beautifully. Aromas of berries, and fruits of the forest. Taste is sweet, with bitter notes, and long length. Palate is velvety, with a thin-to-medium body. Red, with a thin head.

[3439-20101029] Cask. Spicy pie spices aroma with mild cleaner powder. Hazy, red body with quick off-white bubbles. Little cloves and spices. Medium body. Not great, too much of whatever is going on.

2010-10-29. Red orange body with a small frothy white head. 3+ Modest flavour, sweetish with a strange funky-vegetal character that is odd but not unpleasant. 6+ Aroma is similar, mild fruit, overtones of what seems to be beets, but I might not ID it as such if I didn’t know it was in there. 6+ Average palate. I liked the attempt. On cask at Volo Cask Days 2010. Reddish tinge to the body. Vegetable nose. Soapy head. CInammon and borsht, and the two don’t work for me. Not so drinkable sorry. How about some chile next time?
