341 ml bottle. Clear brown brew. Muted aroma with some roast and caramel and a hint of nuttynes but not much else. The palate is equally quiet with some light toasty bitterness and a hint of caramel sweetness but overall a disappointing brew that I won’t order again.

Mediocre beer does not linger on the palate. Good with spicy foods. Colour deep amber and very foamy.

On tap. Clear brown with foamy head. Nutty and toasty with caramel sweetness. A fine run-of-the-mill dark ale.

341 mL bottle. Cola brown with a ring of head. The expected nuttiness and/or breadiness is there to a small degree in the nose, but not much else. It is quite mild, but not unappealing. It is there in the flavour as well, which isn’t too sweet. Body is quite decent. One dimensional, but nothing else wrong with this one. Would probably be good on tap or from a cask.

341 mL bottle. Pours walnut with a thin beige cap. Nutty toffee on the nose, some grainy malt, but lacking. Taste is a little sweet, watery, slightly bitter on the finish. Light to moderate body and moderate to full carbonation. Leaves a lot to be desired.

341mL bottle. Pours clear dark copper/ mahogany colour with off white head. Aroma sweet, malty nutty with brown sugar and caramel. Taste of caramel, coffee, toffee. Fair bitterness. It is a very pleasant and enjoyable smooth beer.

On cask at the Only. Pours a cloudy orange-ish dark brown with average-sized light tan head. Aroma is a weird caramel and a bit of chocolate. Flavour likewise, although as it warms some fruitiness emerges and it becomes more pleasant. Slick, oily mouthfeel. Not great.

Draught. Dark ruby-brown colour, thin head. Taste of chocolate. Not a bad beer.

341mL bottle. Pours a dark brown copper colour with a moderate off white head. Looks pretty filtered. Roasty caramel brown sugar, toasted bread aroma. Coffee and toast a bit more evident on taste. Hint of coffee. Body a little watery, but clean and smooth. Overall, something that would be easy to drink a few of.

Victory Cafe, Toronto cask: Pours a dark brown with a small head. Aroma is ambiguously malty. Taste is slightly sweet. Body is far too light to be a solid brew. I had difficulty finishing this because I had very little desire to drink the whole thing. This was a disappointment at best.
