2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle. Dark copper-red with a small white creamy head. Smells of doughy caramel, toast, and near burnt malts. Tastes a bit sour and creamy with some abrasive carbonation and almond nuttiness.
I’m pretty sure I’ve had this several times over the last couple of years but only got around to rating it now, wow.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Sampled at the Kitchener craft beer show. Pours a nice brown colour with a small head. Aroma is malty, slightly earthy. The taste is almost entirely malty, with very noticeable elements of roasted coffee. Enjoyable over-all.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draught @ Hostex: Pours deep amber-brown, almost like a cola, with a good sized spotty foam head. Surprising hoppiness in the aroma alongside the expected caramel malts. Flavour is softer than you might expect after the aroma, but man is it good. Caramel sweetness, a pleasing nuttiness, and light hopping. Good stuff!

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
This dark ale is one of my favourites. Just discovered about 2 weeks ago, it pours a deep orange/red colour with a off white foamy head. To the nose it has roasted malts and nuts with a little fruit. First taste is nice and roasty with the malts and some hop shining through. Maybe a little coffee too. The palate is nice with nore roast and a little smoke to finish off. Very Good!

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark golden to brown ale with a thin dissolving white head, a bit lifeless when poured. Light oxidized malt with nutty notes in aroma. In mouth, light sweet malt with light nuttyness and roastiness in final, with bitter chocolate, not very hopped, thinner than expected.

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 10/20
Chocolate and nutty malts in the sweet and simple aroma. Clear dark copper coloured body is topped by a thin off white head that recedes rapidly to ring. Chocolate malt flavour, some caramel some nuttiness. Mild herbal hops are apparent. Light-medium finishing bitterness. Perhaps a touch of roast in the aftertaste. Thin and watery body detracts greatly from overall enjoyment especially when paired with strong but short-lived carbonation. Tulip glass. Just above fridge temperature. Bottle.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Cask, dry hopped @ Volo. I expected this one to be a bit darker. Slightly cloudy gold, creamy off-white head. Nose is light caramel, dusty malt, some vanilla. Flavori is caramel, vanilla, dusty malt/caramel finish. A bit of fruitiness.
