Bottle. Pale yellow in glass, very little head. Slight hops and sweetness in aroma. Well carbonated, light tingly mouthfeel. Buttery taste - the dominant flavour in my mind, which I rarely can pick out. Hops come in at he end. In between there is a lot of attempted flavour going on, but I find it unbalanced and overly sweet. This made it not quenching or refreshing or even enjoyable on a flavour level. I thought it was a pretty interesting interpretation of a pils, certainly unique o Ontario, and I will try it again as I like this brewery and their efforts and this is getting some very positive reviews. Just not from me I guess.

Bottle (341ml). Thank you, tupalev!. Poured a clear bright gold with some post-pour bubbling and a decent foamy white head. Aroma mildly vegetal, some light sweet malt, very mildly fruity, a hint of fresh-mown timothy. Taste very mild - delicately hopped, cereal grainy without being coarse, still a hint of wheat or hay - very dry, starts slightly flowery sweet and finishes quickly and slightly bitter. Quite surprised - a great pale lager to have on hand for non-obsessive guests and still pleasant enough to enjoy on your patio.

Bottle - thanks to tupalev. Clear, bright light gold colour with a small, fluffy white head. Fresh aroma of bready malt, citrus and grassy hops. Crisp mouthfeel. Perfectly balanced flavour of sweet (but not too sweet) malt, fruit notes, and herbal/grassy hops. Dry, refreshing finish. Really nice stuff!

I deleted my review of this beer from last year because I felt that the changes done to it, basically, made it a whole new beer....so a new review is in order. I am aware the brewer is now using soft spring water and better hops in reformulating this German style pils. It certainly had a great deal of impact as this is now one of the tastiest ( if not the best) Ontario micro pils. Poured into my glass as a pale straw, slightly hazed lager with a nice fluffy white cap that lasts and laces the glass well. Champagne-like carbonation with spirals of small bubbles coming of the glass bottom. The nose is filled with a pleasant blend of musty fruits, herbs and sweet bready malt aromas. Medium-light body has good malt pronouncement balanced well with herbal hops and a unique musty fruit tone ( from the yeast). The finish is lightly bready and very citrusy with a slight bittering aftertaste. A very pleasnat blend of tastes, very drinkable and satisfying for those who like malt accented Gernam pilsners. This will be a standard summer quaff for me.

Pours straw coloured with no head. Off aroma of grass and grain. Taste is some weird mixture of watered down malt and herbs.

This seemed like a bad ale to me not a Pilsener. Thin head. Malty, almost roasty aroma. Too sweet and lacking character.

Thanks to Joey Capps. Not much of an aroma - some sweet cereal. Overy sweet and herbal. Reminds 40’s purchased from the corner store.

Pale straw and hazy. Tiny head. Minimal lemony wheat aroma. Mild yeasts and apricot. Minerals. Doesn’t look lagered. Some caramel in the finish. Bland.

Clear gold. White head. Light, mildly biscuity aroma. Light, grainy feel. Sweet, biscuity flavour w/ notes of wet cardboard & grassy hops.

Tasty and refreshing. On tap at the Winking Judge in Hamilton, Ontario. Sparkling gold body accompanied by a thin white head. Aroma is sweet and hoppy. Flavour is sweet and more lagery than pilsnery. (Am I allowed to say lagery and pilserny?) Decent.
