Ahh a nice truly local craft beer from the best brewpub in Madrid, not that they have any brewpub competition on that note. But regardless, this is still a flavorful pale ale that has an unusual cloudy pale orange color and smells of grain and hops, looks like a wheat beer but it most definitely is not. Actually I later learned this apparently had rye in the mix, which after the fact I can recognize the rye notes in the flavor. Primarily features a hoppy grapefruit flavor with light toasty maltiness, refreshing. Very smooth and surprisingly light, almost too light and thin on the palate. Good overall.

In short: A moderately hoppy blonde rye beer. Decent session beer.
How: Tap at brewpub.
The look: Clear golden blonde body topped by a persistent small off-white head.
In long: Nose is rye-forward with a nice toastiness and some wooden coniferous hops. In mouth the beer is medium body with a medium carbonation, pleasant typical clean medium size ale mouthfeel. Taste is chewy toasted cereals, low sweetness sensation, a strong rye presence, a moderate coniferous hop presence. Bitterness of medium intensity. Very refreshing yet tasty enough to satisfy the beer geeks. Enjoyable if you like rye beers. Better than the current weighted avg of 3.12 suggests, and I’d be more impressed with ratebeer’s statistical calculations if everybody else taste in beer didn’t suck ass.

UPDATED: NOV 17, 2014 Sortidor. Espuma blana i densa.

On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy honey golden coloured, small to medium sized white head, hint of fruits in the nose. Moderate malty, herbal hoppy and mild yeasty with short bitterish finish. Rye is unnoticable here.

As some have said, this is not a scotch ale, but rather an APA/ESB hybrid. The hops are more and more apparent on both the nose and the tongue each edition. Great beer and entirely drinkable.

A perfectly balanced pale ale, so refreshing in Spain’s climate, in the stead of the usual offer.

Tap at Fabrica Maravillas. Pours a cloudy/murky orange light amber with a white head. Aroma is a little spicy, some yeast and a bit of caramel. Medium to light body. Fine medium carbonation. A touch watery. Caramel, orange, lemon, a little grapefruit and light toast. It's nice. Very drinkable. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
