COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular.
Clwyd Gold has an abv of 3.5% and an ’old fashioned’ ruby colour. The smooth, full malt / biscuity palate is balanced nicely by the mid range bitterness which makes Clwyd Gold especially popular in North Wales.

Cask (gravity dispense) at Battersea Beer Festival, 11 February 2010. Quite dark for a golden ale. Old gold tending towards amber in colour. Not a lot of hop in the aroma. Biscuity malt and light fruit on the palate. Dry and drinkable but not very aromatic.

Cask, Peterborough Fest 08. Dark gold with a small head. Aromas are biscuit malts with pine and spiced oranges. Peppery and woody with floral notes. Flavours are dry biscuit mats with some woody notes. Some light citrus. OK.

Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. A golden coloured lively beer with a white head and lacing. The aroma is slightly grassy hop. The taste has more grass, and is a simple drinkable beer. Nothing bad but just a bit boring.
