COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Regular;
A beer of golden yellow, with a rich and smooth full fruity palate including tangy zest, cherry and elderflower notes, good mouthfeel, and a mellow dry aftertaste. The nose is delightfully hoppy and tempting. The beer is named to commemorate William Crabtree, the Salford astronomer who, in 1639, was the first to view the transit of Venus across the Sun.

[Cask at GBBF 2005] A light orange beer with a thin white head. The aroma is malty with notes of caramel as well as light notes of hops. The flavor is sweet hoppy combined with light notes of butter.

Cask Handpump at the Old MArket Tavern, Altrincham 24/06/2003 Golden colour smooth on the palate and hoppy. Some bitterness and a crisp lasting malt finish.

Cask @ GBBF 2005: Yellow coloured. Clear. Small white head. Is extremely fruity and malty. Has some herbal and hoppy notes. Is quite watery and bland. Ends on a very light bitter note. Ordinary and nothing special. A bit too malty for my likings.
