Cask conditioned - handpump - Malt Shovel, Northampton. A slightly hazy golden beer with a white head and lacing. The aroma is a bit soapy with shampoo notes. More soap in the taste and some light fruits. Not worthy of the word hoppy

A Mes rate: Cask at The Olde Market Tavern. Dave likes a hoppy beer does he? Well I do too. Shame this was not really that hoppy then. Very quaffable all the same.

Gravity tap at Welsh Beer and Cider Festival. Golden ale, dominated by hops as the name says. Refreshing, dry, grassy on top of soft fruit.

Golden colour. Very slightly hazy. Reasonably hoppy, but not as hoppy as I was expecting from the name. Mainly dry, with some citrus. Quite crisp, and pleasant enough, but it didn’t really grab me that much. Cask (gravity dispense), Reading Beer Festival 2005.
