Dark amber colour, hazy, big head, fine perlage. Characteristic aroma of oak cask, tart, black fruits, old hop. Pretty malty, some sweetness, not enough sour; good body, smooth, a hint of liquorice; halfway between a Dubbel and a Oud Bruin. Ordinary palate.
A hidden complexity, a great potential, but definitely not ready; must try after a few years of cellar.
