We thought we were settled on three year-round beers, but when the FBC founders tried the pilot batch of Section Street Wheat, we liked it so much that we added it to our regular lineup. It’s a traditional wheat beer to the core, crafted with organic pilsner and wheat malts from Germany and a moderate dose of hops from the Czech Republic. German wheat yeast provides a distinctive flavor to the final product.

Draft at the source. Hazy to cloudy yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of citrus and white bread. Taste is softly sour citrus. Refreshing.

Tap at The J. Clyde. Pours hazy yellow with a small, frothy white head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is spicy and earthy wheat malt, citrus notes and earthy hops. Flavor is crisp spicy wheat malt, light citrus, hops, and bitterness with a dry finish. Light body and moderate carbonation.

Had it on draft at the tap room in fairhope...great hazy yellow, citrus, and just the right amount of hops

7/27/13. On tap at the brewery. Cloudy pale, pale yellow color, kinda cool looking, actually, with a small off-white head. Pale malts, light banana, and plenty of phenolics. Pale malts, soft wheat, some banana, and lots of bitter phenolics. Not bad.

Draft in the taproom. Pours an eye-catching hazy pale straw -- almost white -- with a smallish white head. Aroma and flavor were lots of lemon, a mild yeastiness, some fruity esters, including banana. Crisp and only lightly sweet. Light mouthfeel. Quite well done -- maybe the best of FBC’s regular rotation beers.
