25.07.2012. 0,5l Can. Strömstad. Amber brown colour with off-white head. Malty aroma. Kind of sweet with notes of brown sugar. Rather thin body. Short aftertaste. This beer does not taste as much as expected from the colour and the aroma.

500ml can picked up at a Coop store in Stockholm. Clear brown coloured body. Faint, beige head leaving dotted spots to the glass. Sweet dark malty flavours followed by a short, roasted bitter ending. A thin, diluted, but non-offensive drink (hotel room, 23.06.2013).

Det är alltid kul att stöta på oväntad bra öl, det här var en sådan. Välbalanserad sak med en söt och maltig smak, kroppen var i minsta laget och den upplevdes som lite för ’enkel’.

Not much aroma at all, the taste is very thin and taste of water. What is Bavarian with this beer, I wonder? The aftertaste is thin as well. Do not drink this beer. You miss nothing. The stronger the percentage is much tastier.

1.5 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
500 ml can. Aroma is sharper and more cardboardy than the 2,8%-version, but still bready. Taste is fuller than the weaker one, with more malt sweetness and bread. Aftertaste fairly bitter. I think i actually prefer the 2,8%

1.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20
500ml can. Light amber body, white head. Not that different from the 5,2% version, except it’s a bit thinner.

2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draught, 0.40l. Clear deep amber color with small tan-like head and soft bubbles. Aroma of malt, mild caramel, lightly toasted, grassy hops and yeasty. Taste starts sweet malty, followed slightly spicy and finished lightly bitter. Light to medium body, thin texture and soft carbonation in palate. Draught was good, but maybe I was overwhelmed about one of my first Swedish beers...
