courtesy of Per - pours a translucide reddish-brown colour under a little but long lasting beige foam; nice lace leaved on the sides of the glass; a distinctive hoppy nose with notes of grapefruit; sweet and moderate malt body, a shy bitterness and a quite long fruity finish with shy malty notes - definitely not what it used to be but quite good anyway

Bottled (2008 version, thanks omhper). Copper colour, beige small head. Aroma is fruits, burnt sugar, some hops and sweet malts. Flavour is hops, fruits, wood and some nuttyness. Also some mild notes of stilton cheese came to my mind.

ante (3374) - Stockholm, SWEDEN - APR 11, 2009
Bottled. 2008 edition. Pours out in a clear reddish brown colour with a small beige foam. Maalty aroma of cocoa, fudge, oranges, cookies and toasted brad. medium-bodied with notes of cocoa, toffee, oranges, sweet coffee and weak floral hops. Malty finish of fudge and cocoa with orangey and floral undertones. Decent.

TBone (16159) - Pori, FINLAND - APR 9, 2009
Bottled vintage 2008 (BB 05/2009). Clear ruby brown color, small beige head. Toasted malty, chocolaty "bock-nose". Caramelly malty, a bit hoppy with alcoholic touch. Hoppy and caramelly aftertaste. Similar to some Finnish dark lagers. Pretty brand, but nothing special flavourwise.

fiulijn (19119) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 2, 2009
Mahogany color, with red hue; big frothy head. The aroma is not very strong, but the caramel is nice, with a touch of cereals and hop. The mouthfeel is just a bit drier than expected, there is some caramel flavor, but it gets somehow metallic at the end. Better than the average Carlsberg.

Marsiblursi (3076) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - FEB 25, 2009
(Bottle) Pours clear copper/reddish brown with a creamy off-white head. The grainy dark bread aroma holds tones of honey covered caramel malt and brown sugar with mild toasted/roasted, chocolate and cookie-like notes. Some spicy and fruity hints of soft vanilla powder, sweet raisins/prunes/dates and mild green apples in the background. Hoppy notes of green herbs, perfume-like flowers, wood, earth and maybe some mild orange. A touch of liquorice is also notable. The flavour is medium sweet and light bitter with tones of caramel, chocolate cookies, watery brown sugar, bread, herbs, grass and some mild orange citrus. The mouthfeel is clean, light carbonated and almost a bit dead. Maybe some light vegetable DMS hints. Light to medium bodied.

Svesse (7849) - Hässelby, SWEDEN - FEB 19, 2009
(Bottle) Dark reddish brown colour with frothy, beige head leaving traces of lacing. Malty, fruity, slightly toasty nose with ryvita, wort bread, dried apricots and spicy hops. Malty, toasty taste with ryvita, dark bread, dried apricots, spices (cardamom, cinnamon) and a slightly spicy bitterness with hints of citrus. Medium body, rather dry. Well balanced and tasty, possibly lacking the knock-out punch. One of the better beers from the Carlsberg beer factory.

Gr0ve (2177) - Oslo, NORWAY - FEB 15, 2009
330 ml bottle. Mahogany colour. Clear. Tall fine-laced light beige head that seriously clings to the glass. Spicy aroma with a hint of cinnamon and cardamom. Fresh floral hop aroma, likely a noble hop. Dark malty flavours with hints of raisins. That said this is definitely a lager and one can taste that. A great seasonal beer. Impressive complexity for a commercial brewery like this. Very drinkable.
