500ml bottle, pours clear dark mahogany with a small tan head. Aroma of dark bread and roasted malts. Taste of roasted malts, syrup loaf and a hint of liquorice. Light sweetness and medium-light bitterness. Medium-light body, thin texture and moderate carbonation. Overall a decent beer, but compared to other Swedish Christmas beers I rank this low.

500 ml bottle, rated from backlog. Brown with off white head. Aroma of light roasted malt and some bread. Taste about the same, nothing really special here

Slightly roasted malt, spices, burnt sugar, caramel, raisin and a very anonymoys, brief, bitter finish.

Pyobon (909) - Sydney, AUSTRALIA - DEC 20, 2012
(bottle) Clear dark brown with red tint. Beige head. Sweet caramel and raisin aroma. Medium body with pleasant lively carbonation. Flavour was quite sweet but not excessively so, with dark roast malt, caramel and raisins. Very drinkable.

rarbring (1319) - Linköping, SWEDEN - DEC 5, 2012
Aroma: The smell is mostly malty, bread, hay, a bit stuffy closet and old socks.
Appearance: The beer is clear, dark brown with hints of read, a tan head with unevenly sized bubbles, good lacing.
Taste: Sweet burned notes initially, dark bread, roasted grains, a rather bitter finish.
Palate: Medium high carbonation, small bubbles, rather oily and a medium large body, a dry finish.
Overall: I must say that this beer was surprisingly good, less swetness and more taste than anticipated.
Note: bottle Reviewed 2010-11-16.

UPDATED: NOV 11, 2012 Bottle as a sample from the brewery. Metallic smell with some dark bread and caramel. Similar taste, the metal is dominant. Besides that a dark bready taste bordering on wort bread. Not as bad as expected but the metall is a definite downer.

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 8 Dec 2012) Dark brown colour with hints of red. Creamy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with caramel and dark bread. Malty, roasted taste with notes of dark bread, caramel, wort, raisins and burnt sugar. Spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, slightly sweetish. Quite decent mass produced dark lager.
