500ml bottle from Mondial private imports.
Appearance : Pitch black with a small white-ish foamy and creamy head.
Aroma : Nice fruits with light caramel and malt. Nice fruits. Light coffee
Taste : Dark fruits, roasted malt and coffee. Finish has light hops and roasted malt with quite a lot of coffee.
Overall : Rather surprisingly decent. Light carbonatin. Quite tasty considering the low abv. The palate is a bit thin but not as much as you may expect from a 4.5% beer. Nice session beer.

Glouglouburp (4783) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 8, 2010
In short: A strange beer that cannot be summed up.
How: Bottle 600ml. Exact age unknown but consumed a few weeks after receiving it from a private import group
The look: Clear dark ruby topped by a medium beige head
In long: Strange but intriguing nose of chewing tobacco and wort. Taste is very soft. Very smooth caramel, and old cold coffee cup, some apples, cabbage, ripe berries, iced-tea, tobacco. Body is juicy and the carbonation felt like a lot of very soft big bubbles. A strange mess that is not offensive because it is not very tasty. I drank my 600ml bottle without any problem and I thought the beer was intriguing. But I don’t want another bottle. Another boring beer from Brazil. For any north-American the greatest mystery about Brazil is how do they manage to get all these hot girls to take off their top without beer?

500ml bottle, dark brown color, with some reddish ruby highlights, and a beige head, nice sweet toasted, biscuity, roasted malt, nutty nose with some faint cocoa powder, chocolate icecream accents, and faint some faint chestnut butter aromas follow through on a medium-bodied palate with a very good mellow toasted, chocolate, roasted malt, chocolate icecream, cocoa powder character with some faint of cold coffee, brown chocolate, faint molasses flavours, with a light brownie, chocolate pudding undertone, leading towards a chocolatey, ice cream, mochaish finish. Nice dunkel, i really like this beer!

Boutip (3467) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 25, 2010
Bottle: Poured a clear dark brown color dunkel with a small foamy head with OK retention and no lacing. Aroma of coffee and caramel is somewhat surprising but generally enjoyable. Taste is an interesting mix between some medium caramel malt with dry roasted aftertaste that concludes with medium dry coffee notes. Body is somewhat light with average carbonation. This was a bit surprising with more coffee and roasted malt that the style would suggest but very enjoyable nonetheless.

probstblueribbon (1973) - Nepean, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 17, 2010
600 ml bottle from Bieropholie, served cool in a tulip glass. 07OC10.

App.: Very deep mahogany with a fair light tan froth. Aroma: A bit of grain/cereal, some slightly watery chocolate and black coffee, a touch ashen, some really weak, vague, tired fruitiness, a bit of a vegetal note, messy and weak. Palate: Medium body, moderate effervescence. Flav.: A touch watery, vague chocolate, fruitiness, black coffee, still an odd vegetal note, a bit ashen and dusty, still messy; off-dry with no bitterness and a wet ash, sweet malt finish.

This is a mess, but I was glad to have a Brazilian micro to rate.

A clear brown dunkel with a thin off white head. In aroma, chalky chocolate with nutty notes. In mouth, a light and boring dunkel slash lager with faint chocolates, watery body, more like a South American dark lager. Bottle at Mondial 2010.

Radek Kliber (5308) - Toronto (Can) Krotoszyn (Pol), POLAND - JUN 14, 2010
Mondial de la bière Montréal 2010
Aroma slight hint of toasted barley , grainy , husky with good finishing roast. 6+
Appearance clear light amber , mid tanned creamy top. Some lace.
Flavor and Palate : Mid bodied. soft texture , roast, maybe even to roasty for dunkel. At least it was mild and fairly inoffensive to palate.
