500 ML bottle in Germany. A nice looking Dunkel Hefe, dark brown with beige head. Aroma is a musty old malt with hints of cherry and nut. Taste is a smooth creamy but light pleasure. Palate is slightly malty and bitter but very smooooth. A fine dunkelhefe even if not true to form. A very good beer and easy to drink.

Bottle: Almost clear, amber coloured, small off-white foamy layer; sourish fruity and roasty nose; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, light to medium bodied; caramel, toasted malt and a wheaty fruitiness in the sweetish-sourish finish, followed by a light hoppy aftertaste and a touch of vegetables. Drinkable, though....

Maria (8585) - Thisted, DENMARK - NOV 21, 2010
It’s hazy, dark amber with a sour aroma of yeast, barnyard and caramel. The flavour is sweet with the same infected sourness, and it has sour notes of yeast, caramel and earthy fruits, and the finish is dry and sour. This bottle must be infected.

(bottle) Hazy, chestnut-brown colour with a medium-sized off-white foamy head. Sweet and slightly ashy dark malty aroma with a light to moderate wheat-character and notes of ripe banana. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a rather calm carbonation. Ashy malty and wheaty taste with notes of bananas and cloves; moderately sweet and fruity, also slightly wheaty finish. 28.X.10
