This IPA is named after the Hexagenia mayfly hatch (the largest in North America) that occurs every year during the summer months on the Fall River. Our bold IPA is also well balanced with a strong malt backbone to offset the barrage of hops that create a shifting flavor of hop bitterness and aroma.

On tap at the bar located at the Red Lion Inn in Redding, CA. Medium bodied IPA with a great balance of hop and malt. I wasn’t expecting much, but this Redding area brewer really hit the mark.

Dang. Clear golden persistent white foam, pine, tropical fruit, slightly dank, some pome fruit, bittersweet balance toward fruit sweet, good aroma volume, this is unique and tasty. Well done.

Bottle from Final Gravity. Pours golden with a thick off-white head and a strong citrus aroma. There is a hearty pale malt flavor with a fairly bitter citrus finish

Bomber from Final Gravity. Pours gold with a white head. Aroma of mixed fruits and some suggestions of dankness (deep inhale). Med body at least. Flavor is light stone fruit, some citrus, some earth. Might be pine, but I think it’s citrus. It’s very hoppy and hop forward. It oscillates between light stone fruit and herbal/dank. Strong hop is always present. Malt is adequate, thankfully no more than. I don’t get why the ratings aren’t higher.

22 oz bottle. 7.1%. Bottled on 03/03/15. (All Star Liquors) Hilt, CA.
Hazy light brown colour with a small off-white head. Citrusy and piney hops, moderate bitterness, lemon, mild sourness and dry malt in the aroma. Delicious. The flavour is resiny and piney hops, lemon peel, moderate bitterness and some caramel malty sweetness. Balanced and enjoyable. After visiting Burney Falls this Burney beer is just perfect.

Pours a finger and half of head on a clear medium straw colored body. The aroma is a rich, sappy pine smell. Nice and bold. The taste is excellently balanced, moderate to strong pine and lemon bitterness. Good malt profile. The texture is crisp, medium body. An excellent IPA.

22 oz bottle. Pours golden orange with a fluffy off-white head. Aroma of tangerine, pine, light malt, a bit of peach and mango. Taste is grapefruit, pine, orange, hop resin, grain, cracker, slight peach, and medium bitterness. Medium body, nice carb or maybe a little too much, resinous astringency, pretty dry. Mostly resinous and hoppy, typical west coast IPA, but has a nice fruity brightness to it. A little heavy on the resinous bitterness over the course of a whole bottle, but overall very enjoyable.
