COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bottle conditioned only.
A strong golden beer with a pleasant, malty flavour and a hint of cinnamon, a real winter bottom warmer.

Bottle, April 2008 tasting. Murky golden colour. Sour (not in a good way) and obviously infected. I still found it (just) drinkable but couldn’t detect any spices, or anything else, through the infection. Clearly quality control and consistency are issues for this brewery. Will try to re-rate if possible.

Bottle from the brewery, BBE May 08, drunk dead on the expiry date! Practically exploded out of the bottle when opened, ending up a cloudy gold with a white head. Not as bad as the bottle at ChrisO’s but not in great shape either. Somewhat malty aroma and suppressed fruity taste. I’ll aim to get a bottle next winter and re-rate.

A Mes rate: Bottle at Chris_O’s Ha Ha Ha Ha Gimme the Cheese Tasting.
Murky gold with a thin white head. Funky and sour as Fallen Angel usually are. Very odd berry fruits. Sweet, tart, crap, FAIL!

Bottle at Chris_o’s The Wolf tasting. Really nasty sour off aroma. Sour in mouth. Nasty.

Bottle @ Chris_o.
Pours muddy yellow with a frothy white head. Aroma is lightly sour, citric and oranges. Quite spritzy mouthfeel. Flavour is quite sour and infected. Too bad...

UPDATED: MAR 13, 2008 500ml Bottle- 7.8% noted on the bottle. They seem to fluctuate their strengths a lot at this brewery. Golden in colour with a white head. Strawberries in the aroma with light hoppiness. Strawberries and peaches also feature in the taste with strawberry again becoming prominent in the aftertaste. No ingredients are listed but they are known for some interesting recipes so maybe there are some strawberries in there somewhere! 500ml Bottle (6.3% version)- Dark golden/amber in colour. A fruity and slightly metallic aroma with a little bit of gingerbread. Refreshing fruity taste with a strawberry and dried fruit element. The strawberry was more noticeable in the 7.8% version but not so noticeable in this one. Quite refreshing and pleasant.

Bottle. Hazy orange gold with a white head. Aromas are citrus and yeast with spices. Flavours are lemon and light spices with lots of yeastiness. Some sweet malts. Its yeasty.
