[500ml bottle courtesy of cgarvieuk] Opaque apple green pour, with large white bubbly head. Appley aroma. Puckering dry flavour, with apple finish. Tastes like a Belgian fruit beer – properly tart. No real hop – Belgian beer at first, then cider. Vinegar on the finish. Not my cup of tea at all [13012012]

In bottle. Pours a cloudy blonde colour with a thin white head. Aroma of apple pie, grassy hops and caramel. Wow! That’s dry and cheek puckeringly sour. Flavours of apple, caramel, white wine vinegar and just a little bitter. Interesting.

Bottled. A hazy golden cider with a lazing beige head. The aroma is dominated by apples. The flavor is lightly sweet with strong notes of apples, leading to a tart finish.

Cloudy hazy tan colour. The aroma is fairly cidery, with some phenols and maybe some earthy hops. Appley-earthy with slightly toasty malts in the finish. Nice tartness late.

Bottle, from store in Bradford-on-Avon? Nicely cloudy dark orange. Fizzy but pretty stable head. The aroma is promising. Not too weird. Has some faint phenols. Mild underdeveloped apple. The hop esters come across as really strong pot. The carbo is champagne-like. Interesting flavors. The apple flavors are dry and well-integrated. Not certain this works to the extent that I would want a pint of it, but it is fun and easy to drink. Good acidity here. A bit of a martini dryness to it, somehow. Afterthought of berry notes in the flavors. This concept could be done better, I think, but creds to the effort.

Bottle 50 cl. Hazy golden with a dense white head - shaving foam style. Tart but also a little perfumy in the nose. Light body, distinct tartness with hardly any fruit sweetness. A little yeastiness. The finish is extremely dry. 190110

Bottle 500ml.
Clear medium yellow orange color with a large, frothy, good lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, moderate apple, sour apple. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration. Body is light to medium, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20100119]

Bottle at Chris_O’s 19th April 2008 tasting, courtesy of yours truly ;-) Pours a hazy yellow with a sour apple aroma. Flavour-wise, it tastes as you’d expect - appley with hoppiness. Quite firm on the palate and not as bad as I feared.
