Bottled at RBESG ’07. Dark brown, rich beige head. Fairly dry with roasty malt flavours and light bodied. Some herbal almost gingery notes before a finish with fairly low bitterness. It works, but only just.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 harrisoni (10909) - Ashford, Kent, ENGLAND - DEC 5, 2005
500ml bottle from the brewery. Black beer with dark brown around the edges. Thick lasting beige head. Some choc/coffee and a bit of a chemical aroma. Bit thin in mouth and again some chemical flavours which mask the choc and roasted malt. Not sure this is supposed to be like this so I have posted a default score.
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 madmitch76 (9845) - , Essex, ENGLAND - JAN 9, 2011
2nd January 2008 Very light stout - more porter like. Tangy fruit with subtle smoke in the undertone. Dry minerally finish. Okay. If only Fallen Angel beers were as cheeky and fruity as their labels!
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 maeib (7542) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - FEB 22, 2008
Bottled. Black with hints of beige for a head. A clearly infected muddle. Sour notes and fruit. Nothing except the colour suggests stout. Nearly all the ratings here suggest infection. Must do better Fallen Angel. Tsk, tsk.
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 MesandSim (7118) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 28, 2007
UPDATED: APR 13, 2008 A Mes rate: Bottle at RBESG. Looks great, tastes awful. Thin and chemical with only some sweet chocolate worth talking about.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 leaparsons (7069) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - JAN 9, 2008
Bottle. Black with no head. Aromas are dry roast malts wit sour berries. Slightly floral with some oatiness. Flavours are chocolate malts with a light roast character. Some smoky notes on the finish. Sour in a tainted bottled way - a common fault with Fallen Angel.
