COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask & Bottle Conditioned;
The impressive richness of chocolate malts and roasted barley make this beer nearly black in colour, robust in aroma, and silky in texture. Reputed for centuries to expose the wit and wisdom of its patrons

Bottle. Black with no head. Aromas are dry roast malts wit sour berries. Slightly floral with some oatiness. Flavours are chocolate malts with a light roast character. Some smoky notes on the finish. Sour in a tainted bottled way - a common fault with Fallen Angel.

Very light stout - more porter like. Tangy fruit with subtle smoke in the undertone. Dry minerally finish. Okay. If only Fallen Angel beers were as cheeky and fruity as their labels!

UPDATED: MAY 26, 2010 Nice cartoon botle with some chick with nice tits trying to manipulate.
Ashy, roasted and very sour notes. blackcurant ...bitter chocolate tones. Not plesant drinking really. WAY 2 sour and un-smooth. Like infected homebrew.

Bottled in Table restaurant in Brighton. Dark beer with a slightly off white head. Restaurant served it a bit too cold, but still little flavour and aroma.

woeful. something was badly wrong here, as though it had been exposed to too much heat or sun at some point? interesting to read that this is not uncommon with Fallen Angel. poured okish, even smelt passable...tasted like soured, stale cream or milk, though it was within it’s BBE date.

Bottled at RBESG 2007. A brown beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of roasted malt as well as light notes of prunes, leading to a dry woody finish. The body is thin.

Bottled. Black with hints of beige for a head. A clearly infected muddle. Sour notes and fruit. Nothing except the colour suggests stout. Nearly all the ratings here suggest infection. Must do better Fallen Angel. Tsk, tsk.
