COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The village of Kippen, nestled at the foot of the Gargunnock and Fintry hills was once home to the largest Grapevine in the world covering an area of 5000 square feet. This pale ale has an almost vinous flavour and aroma, provided by the choicest New Zealand hops. Seriously fruity, floral and citrus, this beer showcases the best qualities of two stunning NZ hops. Dominant flavours: Floral, citrus, tropical, fruity, bitter. Grapevine tastes great on its own or with Indian curries, spicy pizzas or chorizo. Serve at 4C for a refreshing tropical citrus hit or at 12C for a fuller bodied, fuller flavoured experience. No additives, no adjuncts; just four top quality, natural ingredients: Malt, Hops, Yeast and Water. Specifications: Malts: Maris Otter, Vienna Hops: Magnum, NZ Cascade, Motueka IBU: 43 OG: 1.054

Clear, lively golden ale. In the aroma the fruit is slightly more dominant than the hope. There are flavours of hopes and fruit but it’s quite a floral beer on the whole. Balanced very nicely and very drinkable.

Mild aroma. Strong fruit in the mouth, grapefruit with a hint of grass and vegetables. Biscuit malt throughout and that sweetness predominates over the hop. Feels a like a classic Pale Ale and tasty. Perhaps turn the volume up on the hops and it would be great!

[330ml bottle, The Beerhive, Edinburgh] Pours a clear golden orange. Some orangey hop on the nose, along with sweet biscuity malt. Orange and peach on the flavour initially, slightly honeyish sweet fruit. The malt then comes through, leading to a bitter finish. It’s decent enough certainly, surprised it didn’t have more of the hop about it, for a USPA [18092012]

On keg at The Stockbridge Tap. Pours a blonde colour with a fair white head. Aroma of caramel, grapefruit, grassy hops, biscuity malt and alcohol. Similar flavours and nicely bitter with moderate carbonation, light CO2 prickle and an foamy mouth-feel.
