This beer’s got balls. In 48’ when my ship pulled back in from that Kraut country Deuthchland, after takin schrapnal in ass, watchin my friends die next to me, and contracting the clap from a french whore...the only thing that calmed these nerves was a glass of ice cold Falls City. Im 84 years young, I’m in the sunset of my life, all my battles have been fought,i’ve got no fight left in me, I look forward spending the last few years of my life getting shit your pants drunk on this great american beer. Any questions or comments,,Go F**k Yourself
Sincerely,
Lt. Col George "Rusty"Cosgrove

Three A.M., some awful bar in the city you grew up in. The band has played, you bought a t-shirt. Now you decide you like the drummer’s girlfriend. She rebuffs you. You sulk back to your corner, put My Morning Jacket on the jukebox, and order your fifth one of the night. Under these circumstances, and perhaps no other, Falls City is the finest beer imaginable.

Ah, nothing takes me home to Louisville like a sip of Falls City. My uncles dranks it and so did my dad. It was the beer to drink in the 1970s. Good flavor, body and drinkability. The Pittsburgh stuff isn’t quite as good as the original or the Evansville version but still better than average. I wish they’d update their can though, it’s looked the same since 1976. I still remember the slogan, ’Nobody makes us make beer this good, Falls City for when you live life like you should.’ Love this beer.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Racegoer (341) - Indiana, Indiana, USA - JUL 5, 2003
UPDATED: JUL 18, 2003 From 1905 until 1978, it was brewed in right here in Louisville and enjoyed a nice run as a popular regional brand until, like most smaller brands, it was eventually overwhelmed by the major breweries.
it was the first beer that I ever drank. typical American standard beer it was all my Dad and uncle's would drink when I was a kid. This beer has gained some nostalgic resurgence in the community, at a Buck a can at Seidenfaden's Café it might bring back some old memories, typical BMC stuff but it is still fun to think about your first beer.

UPDATED: AUG 18, 2003 O.K., time to re-rate. I only paid $9.53, for a case of these fuckers and was very happy with my purchase. Not only was this brew tasty, it was obviously one hell of a bargain. As a matter of fact, I'm on my 5th right now and I could not be more thrilled. Budweiser look out.

Wow. This is what the old men drank when I was a kid. I drank my first one when I was 45 and can't believe what I missed. I shouldn't have doubted the old-timers.

Actually has a aroma of Malt, which I find unusual for a cheap brew. Also has a very delicate head. Butt-ugly packaging

A good one but hard to find. This has one of those wicked aftertastes that has a learning curve. Once you learn to expect it you learn to like it. This one has a good hop taste but it is never heavy.

Found this for sale in Chattanooga - good to see the old regionals hanging on. Not half bad - even out of the can. Pours light golden with a thin, but persistent head - lots of bubble action. Initial aroma is wet paper bag like but mellows to a slight honey sweetness. Crisp, refreshing flavor, very good balance for a pale lager. Thirst quenching and does not have that metallic aftertaste that some beers of this ilk tend to have. Would be a good "lawnmower" beer as many like to call them. Goes down rather smooth. Mark me as impressed.
