I really like this beer. I think it is very drinkable and goes really well with food. Very nice malty nose on it with a crisp, clean finish. A simple brew really, but solid nonetheless.

Pours a rich, almost clear amber/gold with a slightly off white head...
Scent is slightly sour malt,...buttery.
Taste is the same....barley,malt, a little cereal.
It’s fairly robust, actually.
It looks good in a pour, tastes ok or maybe a little more..pretty decent.

12 ounce bottle. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a mostly clear golden/orange color with an inch and a half off-white head after a strong pour. Head retention and lacing are both average. Aroma is mostly sweet malt along with some buttery malt. Taste is mostly like the aroma, it’s sweet, bready and buttery malt, along with a bit of apple. I don’t pick up any hops at all. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it’s creamy with a decent amount of carbonation. I think this is better than the most recent version of Falls City that I had in the past. Picked this up as a single at Liquor Barn.

This isn’t the Falls City Beer I used to drink in 1969. Clear dark golden amber with a nice ring head, no lace. The taste is sweet caramel malt quickly balanced by hops; the taste rides straight through a non-lasting finish. This is a decent brew (the original was only fair 40 years ago), and quite sessionable.

Bottle. Sweet malty aroma. Deep golden with a small off-white head. Lightly sweet malt flavor, with an ever so slight bitterness in the finish. Medium body, lightly carbonated.

I gotta admit, I find this business model awfully risky. Take a classic Old Man beer and re-configure it as a craft brand? Like, if I bought Stroh’s and decided to make it a sour or something, but in the same labels and cans? Anyway, this was a simple but tasty pale ale. If it were available here, I’d drink it a lot. Kudos and I hope this does well.

I like this beer, I really do. I’ve heard a rumor that’s it’s brewed in Wisconsin, so I’m not sure about the whole, "local," thing it has going, but this is unsubstantiated on my part. It’s extremely drinkable with a medium body that I find quite enjoyable. Aroma is kinda meh (not bad), but taste is very nice. There’s definitely a fruit note to it, though I can’t place which one. Possibly citrus or apple. I recommend it if you’re having food and don’t want something that will dominate the palate, but is still quite enjoyable.

Draft sample at KFOA. Poured clear golden color with an average frothy white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate bitter balanced aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sweet flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of medium duration. Good brew.
