Cask Handpump at the Babington Arms JDW, Derby 15/08/2007 Fruity aroma. Clear golden coloured fruity and hoppy with a slightly bitter dry finish.

Hazy blonde from which emanates a perfumey earl grey tea aroma. Well done really with floral, spicy hop undertones and strawy, cerealic perceptible malts. Obviously very herbal, but kinda sweet in mouth where little bitterness comes in handy. Spices offer the sole, yet efficient balancing feature. They more than manage actually and the result is both original and interesting.

Aug 07 Cask conditioned @ Babington Arms, Derby. Yeasty blond ale with musty flavours. Poorly kept. (av rating given).
