The first beer brewed by the Falstaff Brewery, Phœnix is a dark copper colour beer with lots of body and a sweeter taste. At an ABV of 4.7% it’s been a hit with men and women alike. So named after an article in the Derby Drinker headlined "The Falstaff Brewery to rise from the ashes” Phœnix puts Falstaff beers firmly on the map

Handpull cask at the Bell & Castle, Derby. Copper and clear as a bell with very little head. Stone fruit, and sweet biscuit in the aroma. Taste is bittersweet with a more pronounced hoppy bitter finish. Fuller body than expected. Decent.

Cask at Holy Inadequate, Etruria. Pours copper with off white head. Overridden by a sticky sweetness. Nice enough but just a bit cloying for me.
