Cask, handpump at The Babbington, JDW, Derby, Derbyshire 06.11.10 Well I’ve learnt something today, I hadn’t a bloody clue what a Stymphalian Bird was but a quick google search has now informed me that they were man-eating birds with beaks of bronze and sharp metallic feathers (Greek mythology, I understand) Poured gold with a white head, looks stunning. This is a touch dry and with some dusty hops. Some lemon rind, Pauline (dad’s partner) suggesting that this smelt of wet dog, I thought that was a tad unfair, I didn’t mind this beer at all.
