COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Cask; Occasional.
In true rugby style this is not a beer for the faint hearted. At 8.5% and with the warm copper colour of a traditional British pint, its patriotic splendour is the very best of British. This is the first of the Falstaff’s yearly specials and will only be brewed during the Six Nations and Rugby World Cup Tournaments. The first of Falstaff Brewery beers to be bottled, this has been made a true piece of breweriania by the fact that it has been limited to 500 individually numbered bottles.

Cask Stillage at the Roundhouse, Barrow Hill 16/05/2009 Fruity aroma. Golden coloured very strong in alcohol and fruity with some sourness. A little dryness in a crisp and bitter warming finish.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at Rail Ale fest.
Dirty golden brown with a very thin white rim. Cheesy earthy malt aroma with plenty of alcohol showing it means business. Flavour is almost identical but balancces out really well. Lovely barley wine finish and very drinkable for the abv. Very good but it got pushed aside quite quickly for the No.1 and P2 cocktail I had just made!

Cask Conditioned & on hastraight from the barrel at The Dolphin (festival) in Derby on 25/02/04. Mid borwn colour. Strong on the alcohol taste, tuite thick on the palate. Nice at 1st but got hard going after a while...

Cask at Olde Dolphin (Derby) Heavyweight Beer Festival 2005. Outstandingly deceptive stuff; a caramel copper body with scant head, initially gentle malt aroma that only later claws behind your eyes with liquid chili, a tempered sweetness seeps in and out before an alcoholic warmth cracks across the synapses. Very smooth for its strength and far more polished than the current England rugby union team.
