Iíve drank alot of this over the years, and am having one right now. For an easy drinking everyday beer Falstaff is hard to beat. Methinks the formula may have been changed since the days when Falstaff B.C was among the living, but it is still similar. Smooth and lightly hopped, itís a great one for fishing trips!

OK, so this beer is a shadow of its former self in terms of popularity but itís still not a bad American-style pilsner for its price. This is no Christian Moerlein but it fits the bill on a hot summer day after mowing the lawn. Certainly better than most in its class, including Budweiser, which is three times as expensive. I have a soft spot for some of the old regional brews...and weaker national brands like Falstaff. God bless them they tried but those damn Anheuser-Busch bastards put the screws to Falstaff and most other small brewers. Pabst hasnít done a bad with the beer but they didnít do anything to promote it.

Amazing how the bigger fish gobble up the smaller fish. Many years ago the Ballantine brewery was about 6 miles from where I lived in NJ. When Ballantine closed their doors in the mid-70ís their beers were then brewed by Falstaff. Now Falstaff is brewed by Pabst. So it goes. By the way, Falstaff beer has always been some pretty lousy stuff.

I remember drinking this stuff in high school, because you could get a case for five bucks. Those were the days...NOT!!

A friend showed up on a boat once and gave me one of these. I pretended to drink it for a while after the first sip, and poured it into the lake while he wasnít looking.
