COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts like a good hefeweizen, fruity, yeasty, lilke banana. The finish is a bit weaker, bit still round and well balanced. Good beer!

Test vom 22.1.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 14,8,11,7,11,7 - 8,65

Bottle, 5.0%. Weak banana aroma, hint of citrus. The flavour has a little banana and citrus and a bit more bitterness than most Hefeweizens.

Bottle (bought at the brewery): Hazy, deep golden, plenty of bubbles, slowly diminishing fluffy white head; moderate orangey-yeasty, a bit wheaty nose with a molecular hoppiness in the wings; solid sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium-bodied; wheaty-yeasty aromas in the sweet and a bit sourish finish. Very pleasant, very refreshing bottom fermented Wheat-beer..............

(bottle) A bottom-fermented beer, brewed with mostly wheat-malt sounds interesting and is pretty uncommon (not only) in Germany. Cloudy, orange colour with a big and dense foamy white head. Yeasty, moderately sweet, distinctive wheat-malty and grainy aroma with vanilla and light fruity notes of apricots and citrus. Medium-sweet flavour with a light touch of acidity, light bodied with a lively carbonation. Strong grainy, cereal-like taste with notes of vanilla and a very subtle fruitiness; medium-dry, wheaty and grainy finish with loads of vanilla and cereals in the aftertaste. Pleasant to drink and likeable brew.
