Bottled at Zur Frosch, Hof, Bavaria. Cloudy golden, creamy head. Restrained banana aroma. Sweet, soft and spritzy. Light-medium bodied. Rather light on esters, the malt profile is soft and gentle. Very drinkable and refreshing weizen - perfect for an afternoon in a biergarten.

Mine is 5.5% and called Falter Weissbier Premium Gold. It’s unclear golden with a huge, creamy head and the aroma has notes of banana, mild yeast and wheat. The sweet flavor has notes of spicy yeast (just the way I like it), banana, wheat and the finish is slightly dry and spicy. A very well-balanced beer.

Even when serving banana yeasty aromas flow into the nose. It starts ery yeasty and lemony. In the aftertaste, especially the lemon flavor comes through very well. The finish is dominated by yeasty banana aromas. Very well!

yngwie (9201) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 10, 2009
Bottle. It pours an unclear, golden-orange body under a small white head. Some microfloaties or yeast-flakes. Slightly weak on the aroma, with banana and cloves supported by some grains. Banana, some citrus and cloves in the mouth, a little pale malt too, and some malty sweetness. Could be more pronounced on the flavor too, but at least there’s a nice bitterness in the finish, as well as some cloves. Pleasantly effervescent, and dryish, especially in the finish. Decent, easy to drink, but boring and far from world class. (081105)
