Bottle 50cl from quack-Duck thanks. A cloudy golden orange beer with huge head, nose is low and slightly fruity. Aroma is very sweet with smooth malty presence, caramel notes, fruit side is there on light banana, apple and metallic touch. Quite hopy on the finish with peppery and even mint like hops, nice, more sweet than average of hefen. Good malty and bread notes at the finish, also creamy like body.

Bottle by 14.08.12. Nose of wheat , phenols, and a whisp of plastic. Some nice citrus, though. Hazy orange with a huge, jiggly white head. Bready, very dry taste, some good doughy notes with a hard kick of spice and low cloves. Light body with no hints of alcohol. Not a spectacular Weizen, but really pulls a lot of good from its wheaten and yeasten pillars, and presents a clarity of purpose unbowed by ostentation on the top end. Very repeatable.

Koelschtrinker (7060) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 16, 2011
Test vom 23.1.2006, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 12,9,9,9,11,9 - 9,40

Bottle Cask Pub and Kitchen 5.5%. lovely. Cloudy orange gold, lasting off ivory head. A little bready on aroma. Some banana and esters, good fruitiness in mouth, good rounded fruit like a banana with some sweet tropical fruit. More a complex full hefe than a refreshing light one. Love the mouth feel and finish. Some good sting and real harsh hop on finish. Like it.

Bottle (Danke, Meersburg!): Hazy, orangey coloured, mid-sized loose off-white head; sweet fruity (ripe bananas) and sourish nose; solid sweet-sourish taste, medium bodied, a bit fizzy; bananas and sweet exotic fruits in the wheaty-sourish finish. Fine stuff.....

(bottle) Cloudy, bright golden colour with a fluffy, slightly off-white foamy head. Yeasty, mildly sweet and sour wheaty and citrus-fruity aroma with traces of clove and vanilla. Sourish and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Fruit-accented and wheaty taste with soft phenolic spices; sourish and prickly wheaty finish. Good and refreshing (26.V.09).
