Bottled 330ml @Beer Hunters
Hazy orange color, small steady white head. Piney, but also a bit musty-ryeish, hoppy aroma. Medium-bodied. Citrus, some marmalade. Hoppy bitterness with "a fresh bite". Slightly alcoholic finish. At least lacks typical Danish "berries" side flavors. Ok.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle at home. The colour is amber and is hazy, and has a small yellow-white head. Fruity aroma of grapefruit, caramel, flowers and some pine. Lots of grassy hops in the flavour and some wood. Soft and rich mouth feel, and has a medium to heavy bitterness. A very hoppy ale despite it expired 7-2013, and tasteful.

4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
330ml bottle carried back home from Vinmonopolet Vika. Cloudy dark orange coloured body. Firm frothy, off-white head. Spotty lacing. Inviting aromas of citrus hops presenting grapefruit to the fore and with earthy malt behind. Fruit hoppy taste, including grapefruit, mango and orange supported by smooth, underlying malty sweetness. Dry bitter citrus shells to a long-lived, rounded ending. Full bodied and well balanced. Excellent dipa (Tromsø 06.09.2013).

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a medium amber to orange body that is cloudy and topped by a bit below average-sized, egg-white, somewhat creamy head. It reduces to a fully lasting layer with some big bubbles floating around and other big bubbles are gathering along the edge of the glass, where a good amount of lacing is left. The aroma is very strong, sweet and fruity. I’ve come to appreciate overripe tropical fruity notes, but this one is almost a bit over the top: the overripe notes are simply too overripe, they are dangerously close to rotten (without completely getting that far). Also sweet orange and grapefruit in the back. The taste is moderate sweet and the rather long finish is heavy bitter. The flavours are strong and tropical fruity (especially sweet peaches), luckily a tad less overripe than the aroma. Also orange and resin. The body is close to full, the texture is oily and the carbonation is soft. A very good DIPA, but not a new favourite.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a slightly hazy dark-hued orange body with a medium creamy off-white head. Nose is an assertive and nice plethora of American hop aromas: citrus, pine, pineapple, peaches, rose water, wet grass and hints of alcohol, resin and licorice in the back. As inviting as it is classic. Taste is strong resinous grapefruit and peach notes, resin, pine, grapefruit and hints of alcohol, herbal licorice, dry grass and rose water. Medium to full body, soft to medium carbonation. Long resinous bitter aftertaste. Very pleasant, and the slightly low ABV compared to many comparable DIPAs makes the sting come from hops instead of the booze. Very enjoyable double IPA from Fanø.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a hazy golden orange with a slightly tanned, creamy head leaving plenty of lacings. Aroma is heavy caramel-malty, some pine and resin and mild herbal notes. Taste is malty caramel at first, then into light harsh resin-ish bitterness. Rounds of rather balanced, but with a slight twang of alcohol. Medium carbonation and medium to full bodied.
