COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: This beer was a lovechild from start to finish. Born as a result of good times at Fanø Bryghus between a bunch of thirsty and ticking frenzy ratebeerians and the hospitable brewer family The Witter-Merrithews. The occasion was “Fanø Bryghus Slumber Party 2012” a really terrible excuse for a great barbecue, good beer, funny games, excellent company and….brewing a beer. The beer was developed as a joint venture with everybody allowed to join in. Then brewer FrumptyDumpty transformed the input into a functional recipe. Although brewed in the midst of the bright (well…) Danish summer we brewed a rich and potent beer for those darker days: a Belgian-style Quadrupel made with heather and rose hips. Contributors (one way or the other!): Brugmansia, Christian, Dedollewaitor, FrumptyDumpty, Papsoe, princesslala, Theis and thewolf.

Bottle at home. Pours a hazy deep reddish brown colour with a small, light beige head that fades fast. A sweet and a bit vinous aroma of dried fruit, leather, oak, alcohol, dried meat, chocolate and some red wine. Complex and pleasant. Tasteful and rich is also the flavour with addition of caramel and brown sugar. Maybe the alcohol is too much present. Some flowers in the aftertaste. Has a rich and silky mouth feel, and a light bitterness. A pretty complex and rich beer on the sweet side.

500 ml bottle. Clear, dark amber body with a decent beige head that fades. Aroma has dark malt, dry fruit, hint of wood and chocolate, delicate and a bit vinous. Flavor is sweet malt, dry fruit, brown sugar and moderate but balanced bitterness. Fine body and long lasting aftertaste. A nice, tasty and complex beer. Very enjoable.

Bottle shared with esp0r, simonsen & edvard, september 28th 2013. Cloudy amber body, small tanned head. Aroma of raisins, caramel, blackcurrant, alcohol. Sweet caramel taste with yeast esters, dried fruits, chocolate. Very sweet finish. A nice quad, but maybe a bit sweet for my liking.

It’s murky brown with a creamy head. The aroma has notes of rose hip, dark fruits, roasted malt, caramel and a touch of chocolate. The flavor is sweet with a light bitterness as counterweight to the sweetness, it has notes of rose hips, fruits, caramel, a touch of licorice and even more rose hips and light yeast towards the finish.
