COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: This beer was a lovechild from start to finish. Born as a result of good times at Fanø Bryghus between a bunch of thirsty and ticking frenzy ratebeerians and the hospitable brewer family The Witter-Merrithews. The occasion was “Fanø Bryghus Slumber Party 2012” a really terrible excuse for a great barbecue, good beer, funny games, excellent company and….brewing a beer. The beer was developed as a joint venture with everybody allowed to join in. Then brewer FrumptyDumpty transformed the input into a functional recipe. Although brewed in the midst of the bright (well…) Danish summer we brewed a rich and potent beer for those darker days: a Belgian-style Quadrupel made with heather and rose hips. Contributors (one way or the other!): Brugmansia, Christian, Dedollewaitor, FrumptyDumpty, Papsoe, princesslala, Theis and thewolf.

Bottle@pikkis. Brown dirty. Brown malty. Dry coffee-cake like semisweet yesty estery candi malts. Full bodied, slick. Some xmas spicyness, dry finish. Ok, tasty but not that smooth. A bit raw and yeasty.

Bottle 50 cl, BBE 2015. Pours reddish brown in color with a fluffy tan head. Dark fruits, dark sweetish cake, some vinous notes on aroma. Smooth mouthfeel. Plums, vinous notes and just a bit of bitter grass comes forward towards the end in taste.

Bottle. Pours a deep, near-black, red-hued brown body with a medium creamy off-white head. Nose is a strange complex of red berries, meaty tones (!), caramel malts, herbs and hints of raisins and sweet estery yeast notes. Taste is sweet candi sugars, raisins, rose water, hibiscus, caramel, sweet yeast tones and hints of bitter herbs. Dry aftertaste with some bitter-herbal hop notes. Medium to full body, medium to high carbonation. A very strange creation and not really my thing, but I’m sure the merry crew of Danish Ratebeerians had a great time brewing it! :-)

50cl Bottle at WWT III, thanks Plovmand! Dark ruby-brown colour, off-white head. Aroma is very sweet, malty, raisins, dark fruits, alcohol, light spicy, rose water. Flavour is very sweet, malty, fruity, spicy, rosewater, alcohol, toast, light bitter finish. Medium to full-bodied. Well-crafted, but way too sweet for me to be thoroughly enjoyable.

Bottle @ WWT III, courtesey of Borresteijn. Pours a very dark brown beer with a medium sized, slightly tanned head. Aroma of yeast, dark fruits, caramel malts and slightly alcoholic. Flavour is very sweet, malty and alcoholic. It’s hard to describe this, but it’s awesome in balance and greatly crafted. Awesome brew!

Bottle at WWT3. Poured a deep mahogany with a bubbly white head. The aroma is big dry malt with some resin. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with lots of alcohol inspired liqourice on the palate too. A nice beer to taste but not one for a "session".
