COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: This beer was a lovechild from start to finish. Born as a result of good times at Fanø Bryghus between a bunch of thirsty and ticking frenzy ratebeerians and the hospitable brewer family The Witter-Merrithews. The occasion was “Fanø Bryghus Slumber Party 2012” a really terrible excuse for a great barbecue, good beer, funny games, excellent company and….brewing a beer. The beer was developed as a joint venture with everybody allowed to join in. Then brewer FrumptyDumpty transformed the input into a functional recipe. Although brewed in the midst of the bright (well…) Danish summer we brewed a rich and potent beer for those darker days: a Belgian-style Quadrupel made with heather and rose hips. Contributors (one way or the other!): Brugmansia, Christian, Dedollewaitor, FrumptyDumpty, Papsoe, princesslala, Theis and thewolf.

Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is kind of strange, broth, dark malts, dough, grass, caramel, soy sauce, almond essence, dark sugar, alcohol, toast, chocolate. Taste is slightly harsh and sweet, dark malts, grass, hops, dark sugar, burnt caramel, heather, citrus peel, almond essence. Medium bitterness, king of metallic mouthfeel. Fair enough, not really my kind of beer.

Bottle from Vika enjoyed at home
Dark brown, big dense head. Smells of fruits, berries, caramel, malts, oak and belgian yeast. Heavy sweet, nice heavy malt base, dark fruits, raisins, oak and hints of alcohol. Medium to heavy bitter. A very interesting beer with a pedigree from the Ratebeer community. Fun to try this beer where all planning was done here on the site. Hail to Ryan for this good beer, and to all the rb’s that joined the brewing. For the beer itself i have to say it’s quite nice. Maybe still to raw; it could probably need some more age

Medium brown head. Clear deep dark red barely translucent body. Fruity spicy alcoholic aroma with yeasty wild berry notes. Sweet spicy wild berry and bread taste with herbal alcoholic notes. Fullish body. Soft, mild, smooth mouthfeel with slight heat. Dryish spicy caramelly toffee aftertaste with roasty oily herbal notes. Lovely! Very subtle, highly drinkable, smooth and mild.
