COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

English: Fanø Forår is brewed according to old traditions with golden types of malt and less hops. Hence is the sweet popular flavor kept. This beer fits the traditional food of spring and easter. Fanø Forår is brewed using 4 types of malt: Pilsner, Caramünich, Münchner and a little Wheat malt. The hops used is Hersbrück from Nurenberg. The water is our own soft water from a 40 meter deep well.

Bottle. A hazy, amber beer with a small, diminishing beige head. Fruity aroma with lots of sourness of the kind found in infected beers. When taking the first sip, the infection is even more obvious, it’s sour, dry and citrusy. Only a little malty sweetness is left. Thin, fizzy, astringent and dry mouthfeel. Wonder how it was when really fresh. Now it wasn’t much to write home about. Also wonder how it would be closer to the BB-date. Probably next to undrinkable. (081127)

Bottle. Pours a murky amber-brown with a fast-disappearing off-white head. Sour, slightly malty aroma. Fruity notes. Flavour is sour with sweet molasses and fruits. Same finish. Me thinks this is infected (just like the last Fanø beer I had, *sigh*). 05-08-08.

fanø forårs bryg aroma : very sour, below the sourness i sense rotten notes. probably worst ever aroma i smelled muddy yellow/brown color with nice head. flavor : VERY very sour, like acid. i did not dare to taste much, it was really sour. 2/10 palate was tested with spitting out afterwards. palate is okay. 3/5 overall the worst brew i ever tasted, it must be infected by a dead horse or something. and it was way fresher than best before. the rest was of course drained. 1/20
