Bottle. Thanks Valgreen. Pours thick pitch black, really nice dark brown short head. Great coating and viscous. Aroma is stunning already from the bottle. Loads of dark chocolate. Roasty malt, coffee, some dry wood. Subtle marshmallow and burnt figs. Taste is heavy sweet vanilla. Chocolate milk and lot of chewy lactose. Has some warming acid sherry booze. Dry cocoa powder and vanilla finish. Candy! So different the aroma from the taste, but both really delicious.

Bottle: Thanks Inbreak: Served in a Chouffe glass: Pitch black with dark brown to black ish head. Hell yeah! Aroma has lots of chocolate: dark chocolate, milk chocolate, cacoa, some praline, some chocolate and malt roast, sweet coal and a sprinkle of sweet tar/soy... Flavour is good chocolaty with some roast and bitters. Quite strong and everything is good present. Aftertaste is bitter, roasty, chocolate, some wood, malts and herbs. Low carbo, full creamy foamy mouthfeel, full body and a foamy thick texture. Very good stuff!

Thick and black with small, brown head. Fruity, roasted, soy sauce aroma. Very thick and creamy, syrupy mouthfeel with immediate bitterness followed by more fruity roast and dark chocolate. Warming alcohol and long, sticky finish. Seriously good stuff.

(Rating #9,000) Bottle… RBSG 2014Most beers pee their name in the snow. This beer pees its name into concrete!… Pours Zhukov-black with a small, creamy, brown head. Good retention. The nose is a luxuriant swirl of hot fudge, dark chocolate chips, and Cuban-roast coffee beans with undercurrents of vanilla and caramel. Full-bodied and velvety with lazy carbonation. The flavor is a bold intermingling of Cuban-roast coffee, burnt malts, blackstrap molasses and pouch tobacco accompanied by a suggestion of dark berries – possibly blueberries – and a whisper of gooey caramel. Lengthy, charred, mocha finish. Muchos kudos to Plovmand for floating this world class treat across the pond!

Bottle via hopscotch: poured opaque with small lasting head. Heavy roast, liquorice, vanilla, and dark fruits. Good amount of espresso bitterness keeps it from becomingly over sweet. Oily rich mouth feel than is ashy and warming. Nice brew but a tad oxidized.

Bottle at home. Medium high creamy good looking dark brown head. Through this blackness (does such a word exist?) not much light comes through. As a choccolate and beer lover I do indeed like the aroma of this beer. Sweet vanilla ads to the pleasure. With an alcohol percentage of 10 I am always prejudiced. In this case the brewer does, however, manage to balance the roasted malts, choccolate flavors, bitterness and alcohol in a supurb manner. Low carbonation and a long finish ads to the pleasure. I guess it is a proper thing to end this rating with a WOW.

Another of these black, gorgeous, thick and viscous-looking imperial stouts that just screams "I’M INTENSE!". The medium brown head is quite small though, but it leaves some lacing and it never disappears. The aroma is very strong, sweet and gently roasted, with incredibly massive amounts of sweet chocolate it all forms chocolate can possess: milk chocolate, chocolate sauce, sugary cocoa, O’Boy powder and all that’s sweet and chocolatey. Amazing! The roasted and strong flavours are even better: again total chocolate overdose, but now the well integrated alcohol plays along and creates liqueur filled chocolates in addition to all the milk chocolate notes. Also a nice vanilla touch in the back. The taste is heavy sweet and heavy to moderate bitter. Unusually thick and creamy mouthfeel, this is like drinking chocolate sauce! The carbonation is very soft, but it fits the beer well. Absolutely stunning!

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large deep brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of chocolate malt is pretty dominant with light dry raisins notes also perceptible. Taste is dominated cocoa with deep creamy black chocolates notes with some light dry roasted malt notes. Light lactose notes are also doing a pretty good job of offsetting some of the dryness. Body is full with super nice creamy body with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. I wasn’t expecting much since I couldn’t read the Danish label but very enjoyable nonetheless.
