Bottle from Vinmonopolet in Valkendorfsgate, Bergen. Pours a majestic pitch black body crowned with a large, light caramel-colored creamy and long-lasting head. Nose is cocoa, dark chocolate, lactic creamy notes, coffee and hints of black currants and alcohol. Taste is cocoa and dark chocolate in the front, then milky licorice, dark berries, vanilla and hints of wood and leather come later. Loads of complexity. Lingering cocoa finish. Full, thick body with a lovely creamy mouthfeel - now this is what puts the "imperial" in "stout"! Very impressive from Fanø, and by far the best beer I’ve had from them so far.

Nice brown creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is rich, dark malts, salty licorice, toffee, dark bitter chocolate, espresso, cocoa, tar, dark sugar. Taste is rich and sweet, dark malts, licorice, dark sugar, coffee, dark fruits, chocolate, caramel, grass, alcohol, tar. Longlasting bitterness, sirupy sticky mouthfeel. Surprisingly little chocolate in this one when I expected SO much, but instead lots of licorice. Still, this is lovely stuff, will definately put a bottle or two in my cellar for aging.

Pours jet black with a dense brown head that builds up, it just looks exquisite. Smells of chocolate, coffee, roasted malts, earthy hops. Heavy sweet, chocolate, coffee and roasted malts again, fantastic full bodied, coffee and chocolate flavors are very nice. Medium bitter finish, slick oily texture, fantastic mouthfeel. What a fantastic brew, i didn’t expect it to be that good. Exquisite

En øl som er rik på lukt og aroma. Dyp nesten sort på farge. Tynt sittende mørkt skum. En herlig god smak av sjokolade og vanilje med en anelse røksmak. en herlig øl.

33cl, as Gorm (handwritten on the bottle), no mention of ABV, new exclusive Danish brew Anno 2012, with chocolate, thx to thewolf!, very complex sweet Stout, roasted/sweet and slightly fruity/spicy, yet not too heavy, very balanced, cloudy, good head, top class!
