Bottle at Chriso’s Fullers-Gales Tasting. It pours very dark brown-black, with a thin dark tan head. The nose is tar, liquorice, coconut, roasted malt and charcoal. The taste is coconut, roasted malt, coffee, salted caramel, liquorice, toffee and dark chocolate, with a warming finish. Full body (coats your mouth) and fine carbonation, with a thick, oily mouth-feel. Well balanced and surprisngly smooth. Good stuff indeed.

Glad I could taste this one. Good roasted cofee and chocolate, with a nice fruity sweetness combined together. Misses a head and some carbonation, but besides that, very decent.

Black with a huge and beatiful reddish brown head - lots of lacings. The aroma is a bit on the weak side, but does give some impression of roasted malts, caffe latte and spices. The flavour starts moderately sweet and goes into a nice bitterness with liqourice in the end. A well crafted brew.

Sample from 33 cl. bottle. Pitch black with a creamy and fat long lasting tanned head. Nice, thick laces. The aroma is hard roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, sweet dark fruits, light hits of liquorice and toasted caramel. Rich and full taste with hard roasted malts and hop bitterness with notes of tobacco, chocolate, coffee and liquorice. Full body with a thick texture. Long, roasted finish with some hops and ashes. Excellent beer.

Bottle at DØE tasting. Black with a large light brown head , nice lacings. Aroma heavy malty (chocolate, licorice, roasted, vanilla, coffee, cinnamon). Flavor heavy sweet, medium bitter from dark malts and hops, light spicy. Full body, smooth. Well balanced, despite the spices.
